Two of Harry Stylesdancers have revealed that during his performance at the Grammys on Sunday evening.
The former A direction star was one of the A-list performers at this year’s ceremony where he took home two awards, including the coveted Album of the Year award.
Harry took the stage in a striking silver outfit, reenacting a scene from his As It Was music video using a huge rotating turntable.

However, his backing dancers had to think quickly as the live performance got underway, and the turntable immediately began moving backwards.
If only it was programmed to just go into One Direction, right?
Backing dancer Brandon Mathis posted on his Instagram story (via BBC News): “The moment the curtain opened and it was time to perform, our turntable started spinning backwards. Backwards.
“There was nothing we could do to stop it. So after a week of rehearsing this piece goes perfectly one way, the moment it’s time to perform it starts to go the other way, and in in real time we have to troubleshoot and do a complete stretch in reverse.

Fellow performer Dexter Da Rocha also spoke out about the gaffe, revealing that not only the dancers, but also Harry needed to think hard.
“[Harry] tried his best to be able to walk and turn everything around while he sang and turn around his whole duet, which was incredible,” Dexter said, pointing out that because the performance was broadcast live, they couldn’t get a technician’s attention pull to clear the error.
During the performance, some fans on Twitter pointed out that Harry almost tumbled when he stepped off the turntable, but thankfully he (sorry again) managed to style it out.
By the time he performed, he had already won Best Pop Vocal Album and the chart ended the night by winning Album Of The Year over Beyoncé, Adele, Lizzo, Bad Bunny and ABBA.
“I think of course on nights like tonight it’s so important to remember that there’s no such thing as ‘best’ in music,” said Harry. “I don’t think any of us in the studio make decisions based on what’s going to give us one of these.
“This is very, very nice, I am so, so thankful. This doesn’t happen often with people like me, and this is so, so nice. Thank you.”
