At that point… time for the all-important question.
For me, even in the face of the giant that is Patrick Mahomes, I’m on the Eagles’ side. Their team is just more complete on both sides of the ball and with their running game designed to dominate, they can keep Mahomes off the field for a long time.
Prediction: Leaders 34 Eagles 37

Advertisement space
Of course, the Super Bowl isn’t just about football. For many, advertising is actually the star attraction, with many of the world’s largest companies competing to advertise throughout the game.
Rumor has it that the cost of ad space during this year’s game is around $7 million.

What colors will each team wear?
The Chiefs are this evening’s ceremonial road team and are therefore wearing their white jersey tonight. The ‘home’ Eagles will put on their familiar green jerseys.

Who is Nick Sirianni?
Sirriani is only in his second season at the helm of the Eagles, but has already established himself as one of the game’s top coaches.
His NFL coaching career actually began tonight with his opponents, the Kansas City Chiefs, but he was not retained as part of the staff when Andy Reid took over in 2013.
He then worked for the San Diego Chargers and the Indianapolis Colts before landing the top job in Philadelphia in 2021.

Tonight’s venue is the beautiful State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The 72,000-seat arena has hosted the Super Bowl twice before (in 2008 and 2015).

Good evening…
…and welcome to live coverage of what, in many people’s eyes, is the greatest sporting event in the world. We can challenge that argument at a later date, but there’s no denying that the Super Bowl is one of the few occasions where sports really takes center stage.
And this year it looks like we’re in for a classic. The Kansas City Chiefs, led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, take on the Philadelphia Eagles this season in a clash between the top two teams in the NFL.
Oddly enough, such a meeting is strangely unusual in Super Bowl history, with only 13 of the past 48 featuring the No. 1 seed in each conference – the last of which took place in 2014.
The cream doesn’t always rise to the top in the NFL. As such, excitement levels should be huge ahead of a game that promises to offer a seemingly perfect clash of styles between two of the sport’s great franchises.
For Kansas City, this night’s outcome will begin and end with the performance of Mahomes, who has just been named the NFL’s MVP for the second time and is the league’s best player by most stats.
His ability to create seemingly out of the blue and improvise on the fly means he can pull apart even the very best of defences. He’s almost certainly every week in and week out the NFL has to offer, but a lingering ankle sprain suffered earlier in the playoffs against Jacksonville raises questions about how healthy Mahomes really is.
If he isn’t, he’s dealing with an Eagles defense ready to take full advantage of the table. A deadly pass rush, led by Haason Reddick, knocked two San Francisco 49ers quarterbacks out of the NFC Championship game two weeks ago and will be ready to take full aim at Mahomes.
On the other side of the ball, Jalen Hurts leads an Eagles offense based on a dynamic running offense. However, there are also injury concerns facing the Eagles, namely the shoulder injury that has seemed to hamper Hurts’ ability to run with confidence in recent weeks.
